Estimates only. Charges depend on your broker’s tariff, exchange, instrument and current statutory rates. This calculator is an educational estimate, not trading advice. DP charges apply to eligible delivery sells; enter the per-ISIN charge if no built-in rate is available. Built-in broker rates are static assumptions, are not live, and must be checked against current official tariffs before relying on them.

How the brokerage calculator works

Enter your buy price, sell price and quantity to estimate trade turnover, charges and net profit or loss after estimated charges. Choose an instrument, order type, exchange and broker to see a breakdown.

Charges included in the estimate

  • Brokerage: based on the selected broker profile or your custom per-order input.
  • STT or CTT: estimated from the selected instrument and trade values.
  • Exchange and SEBI charges: estimated using the calculator’s configured rates.
  • Stamp duty, GST and DP charges: shown separately where applicable to the selected trade.

How to compare brokers

Open “Compare brokers,” choose two to four brokers, then set the same instrument, order type, exchange and trade values. Compare the estimated charge rows and net P&L side by side. For brokers without a built-in profile, the custom brokerage and DP inputs are used.

Are the results exact?

No. This tool provides educational estimates. Actual charges may vary with your broker’s plan, order execution, exchange, instrument and current statutory rates. Check your broker’s current tariff and your contract note before relying on an estimate.

Data transparency: Broker and statutory rates should be checked against current primary sources before use. Rates and their source links should be published with a “last checked” date.
